How to Browse the Global Wishlist Page

The global wishlist in KiddyCash is a shared list of items your children have saved while exploring the app. Items can be added from two sources: a business profile your child visited, or a discovery flow — the curated browsing experience inside KiddyCash that surfaces products, services, and savings goals relevant to your family.

As a parent, you can review everything on this list in one place at kiddy.cash/wishlist, so you always know what your kids are interested in before money moves.

Before You Start

Make sure you:

  • Are logged in as the parent or guardian on your KiddyCash account
  • Have at least one child profile linked to your family
  • Your child has browsed at least one business or discovery flow (otherwise the list will be empty)

Steps to Browse the Global Wishlist

  1. Open the KiddyCash app on your phone or visit the web app in your browser.

  2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner of the screen to open the main navigation.

  3. Select “Wishlist” from the menu. You can also go directly to kiddy.cash/wishlist in your browser.

  4. Review the full list. All items saved by any child in your family appear here in a single view. You are not limited to one child at a time.

  5. Filter by child using the dropdown at the top of the page if you want to see only one child’s saved items.

  6. Filter by source to separate items saved from businesses versus items saved during discovery flows. This helps you understand where your child is spending their attention.

  7. Tap any item to expand it and see the full product or service description, the price, and a direct link to the business that listed it.

  8. Visit the business listing from within the item detail if you want more context about who is selling it. You can also browse the public business directory to compare similar businesses in your area — useful if, for example, your child in Nairobi has saved items from multiple electronics shops and you want to understand the options.

Using the Wishlist as a Money Conversation Tool

The wishlist is not just a shopping list — it is a window into what your child values. Researchers and financial educators consistently find that money conversations matter more than the specific amounts involved. Reviewing the wishlist together with your child is a natural starting point.

If you are unsure how to approach those conversations, this guide on how to start talking about money with your kids at any age offers practical language you can use without needing a financial background.

Tips

  • Items are not removed automatically when a purchase is made via M-Pesa or any other method. You can delete items manually by tapping the item and selecting Remove.
  • A child cannot see other siblings’ saved items — the global view is for parents only.
  • Businesses must be KYB-verified on KiddyCash for their items to appear on the wishlist.
